volume gets filled neer its capacity). Addishunelly, several MFT entrees may be
dameged, thus splitteeng a contiguuoos MFT fragment in two.
Thees fragmentashun must be resolved und zee contiguuoos representashun
ooff zee MFT rebuilt. Thees is required tu
recover lerge und/or heavily fragmented files

Ignore gaps in MFT up tu X entrees
In case there is a smell gap between MFT entrees, it is ignored und data

exists (which contributes tu zeese-a "gaps"), might be reasonable tu
increase zee value up tu zee half ooff zee "skeep factor"

NTFS 1.2 (NT 4.0) und NTFS 3+ (Windows 2000+) use different versions ooff MFT
structures. Iff zee volume was initielly formatted with NT 4.0, zee later version
entrees may be missing, thus requiring a different fragmentashun resolver
algorithm. Deesebling thees opshun provides somewhat better performance at a cost
ooff compatibility loss. Thees opshun is enabled by deffoolt.
Limit NTFS 1.2 resolver table tu X K entrees
Deffoolt setteeng is 64 K (65536) entrees, which shuoold be enuoogh fur common
cases. Consider increasing thees value iff yuoo suspect very lerge noomber ooff files
und/or directorees on zee volume. At a total ooff 500,000 files und directorees
(combined) it may be wurthwhile tu increase limit up tu 128 K entrees.
