Could you please download and try http://www.z-a-recovery.com/zlon-10-002.exe.
It should at least provide some more detailed diagnostics regarding what it failed to open and why.

I tried to put the copy on three different hard drives. They all stopped at 2%. Now i try to access those drives and they say they aren't formatted. So i try to format them and they cannot be formatted now. Are these 3 drives ruined now?

I think we have it sorted out by now.
Download and try http://www.z-a-recovery.com/zlon-10-003.exe
It should work properly with regard to writing back to the drive.

We're not able to reproduce this. We're still trying to figure out how it happened, but nothing good in sight.

Okay this is how it goes i want to know something and you want to know something. so if someone can answer my question please do.

I made a image of my 232 GB Harddrive.

what can i to do with this file? i searched for a program that could extract the file. Right know im using the method "File to Disk" in the Zlon application.

Will it extract the files that's in the .dsk file?

Back To The Question In This Thread Her

First of all if you did make a Image of your drive it will be like this.

Where you have saved the image files "DSK & 0000" files go there.

After that You can see you have 2 files in the folder or Harddrive whatever.
Try to open the other file this time and see what happens. have patience too

Zlon copies disk to a single file (this file is called "disk image file"). It does not extract the contents (user files) from that image file.

If you need to extract separate contents (user files) from a file which represents a disk (disk image file), you need to use ZAR. or similar data recovery software.
