Do ZAR only work directly on physical devices ?
I need to recover files from a Sentry mounted drive (encryption software similar to TrueCrypt).
Vista CHKDSK failes and no files are available.

If you have a drive letter for it,
Start ZAR
Click "Advanced Configuration" on the first screen
In there, switch to "Disks and partitions"
Near the top of the window, change "Disk access using physical devices" to "Disk access using logical drives".
Click OK to close config.Refer here - http://www.z-a-recovery.com/man-opt-phys.htm

Thanks for quick response :-)
Initially I tried that with no luck. Encouraged by your answer though, I found the solution and a bug in ZAR.
ZAR do not find logical drives on B: (probably neither A:) but mounting it as F: worked fine.

Uh oh. That's probably had to do something with floppies back in times of Windows 9x. Thank you.
