Olympus Pic Card problem

Hi, My Olympus C-765 Ultra Zoom Camera is showing "CARD SETUP, FORMAT OR POWER OFF"

I'm only trying to dnld pics from a shoot last nite. I don't want to format or power off.

I'm new to this (obviously).

Can anyone help?

DO NOT format in camera. Remove the card from a camera and use a card reader device. If the damage is limited, you may be able to just read it. If the card is still not readable, refer to this tutorial http://www.z-a-recovery.com/demo-ir.htm. If that for some reason does not work, do not hesitate to ask for more info.
