Noobie Question

Okay sorry for this dumb question. I recently booted my system and got a message that Error reading drive 0 which is my internal hard drive. I have found Zar and seems to be a wonderful program but will this work so I can get whatever data i have on this hard drive.

For a laptop drive, you probably need to get a drive out of the laptop, and attach it to the desktop system using a converter. Alternatively, if you can get your laptop boot into Windows from USB, use this. Anyhow, you need to attach your problem hard drive to a working Windows installation.
