... so do i have to make a complete run again?
ZAR reports an Error while trying to open the save file *.zar and exits the program.
I saved the file after running the demo mode. as i needed to quit, to enter registration code (this is not well done ;-) why can't I enter it there?).
Is this an known problem and can I fix the save file?
I use WIN XP SP2. ZAR searches an external usb harddrive.
all worked great. BUT THE ERROR WHILE OPENING A SAVE FILE IS BAD!
but thanks for so long. I hope the second run brings the same good results!
May I send you the FILE for a fixing?

... tried it again ;-) but i will not work ;-(
... after the first scan an perfectly saving the test-folders:
- I bought a single user license
- restarted ZAR and entered the codes
- tried to open the SAVE-file (saved it two times)
- with both files ZAR says error occurs and program has to be terminated ;-(
- didn't change the configuration of the drive and didn't restart the computer
- only thing i can imagine: the validating process hasn't finished when i saved the zar-file and did go on to the next step
- ZAR asked me for sending a report - i did this a few times - maybe you allready got those reports.
ZAR is now my HOPE ... as it worked perfectly in demo mode.

Could you please ZIP and email me the log file,
C:\Program Files\ZAR\logfile.txt so I can investigate further.

... the logfile is on it's way ...
thank you!
PS: what will be the possible quality of files in the fragments and lostdir folders?

What build you are using? By the log file, it appears you are hitting the bug which was fixed around version 8.3 build 30. Could you please download, install, and retry with http://www.z-a-recovery.com/zar-83-034.exe to see if this solves the problem? The build number is indicated on top of the first screen when you start ZAR.

... it seems, like all my data - a lot of mp3s (dj) are saved and work correctly (the validation sometimes showed a damage, but the file is ok) ... if this will be true for the next days, then you're my personal jesus ;-)
... i've got built 29 ... so this is an answer ...
will call tomorow
