not bolding new messages

Windows XP Pro 4 gig ram, quad 3 gig processor, Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 with a lot of extensions. Something happened and new messages no longer appear in bold, nor does the appropriate folder show the number of new messages in parentheses. This did not occur with the installation of a particular extension.

I have deleted all the .msf files. Sometimes this helps, but only when the folder is selected (and, of course, a new .msf file is created). I have tried a reinstall over previous install - no joy. Can Z-mail fix this? Thanks.

As for Zmeil capabilities are concerned, it is a recovery utility which is capable of extracting all the messages from database file(s) and importing them all back into Thunderbird mail program as new and unread. In your case we don't think you need any kind of recovery because no messages were actually lost, and we do not think this procedure will do any good.

The only thing we can think of is that one of the extensions is causing this as a side effect, so maybe consider temporarily removing them one by one.
