Help. I have images from my hard drive which will not open. When I took the hard drive out of my older computer and put in into a Rockfish to try to open, my computer would recognize that there was a drive but would not open it. So I tried to run the ZAR recovery program. It seemed to start but then the panel on the bottom showed 0 seeks per second. Also the bar showing progress is blank. What happened? How do I get at these vital images?

Could you please clarify what the "Rockfish" is?

Rocketfish is an external drive case for the hard drive removed from the old computer.

I suggest you connect the drive directly to the motherboard port if possible. This is because the enclosures (USB or Firewire) are typically not very reliable if used with an imperfect drive (e.g. encountering just one bad block on the drive may cause the enclosure to lock up). Refer here - difference between IDE attachment and the USB enclosure (http://www.external-drive-recovery-guide.com/usb-vs-ide.aspx).
