hi all

I am new here. I was had just finished transferring files of about 300 GB to my external drive which I accidently unplugged without safely removing it as I was in a hurry.

Now when i plug it back in, it shows a message "error in file or directory due to corruption and drive inaccessible". I am currently using the ZAR software to check it for anything left.

My question is what are he chances of me recovering my files? they were very important and I had just started burning them to CD for secondary backup purpose.

any answer and help will be appreciated.

I would expect nearly everything recovered except maybe a small group of files written last (for which buffered writes were not committed).
