View Full Version : Using Internal NTFS Drive as External for Recovery

This may be a boneheaded question, but would there be any problem putting my Vista's thoroughly corrupted (but physically fine) NTFS drive into an external enclosure and connecting it to an XP laptop running ZAR in order to recover the contents of the Vista disk? This probably doesn't impact the equation at all, but the corruption is the product of a botched repartitioning ( I think the computer tried to go to sleep while repartitioning, which made everything go nuts).

Any help you can offer would be great.

Should work just fine. Processing speed will most likely be limited by the enclosure, but that should not be very slow.
