Hello,

I formatted my external HD accidentally and then purchased ZAR to unformat it. The data was found successfully. All the folders and the file names (mp3) are as before formatting. However, the actual songs seem to be different. Meaning file with file name XXXXX.mp3 is actually playing ZZZZZ.mp3 from different folder. Please advise.

Windows XP
Cavalry 250gb External USB HD.

Thanks

Please check: Do you also have about 30% of MP3 files corrupt in such a way that
AAAA.mp3 first plays a part of YYYY.mp3 and then a part of ZZZZ.mp3, i.e. file contains content mixed from several songs?

Regardless of the above,

Start ZAR
Open "Advanced Configuration"
In there, under "Overrides" set "Sector offset for 0th cluster" to zero.
Click OK and run the analysis.
See if this produces better result.

Hello,

I need help on this urgently. Please let me know what to do. I have run ZAR twice with the method you have suggested but the results have not improved. Thanks.

Could you please get the log file,

C:\Program Files\ZAR\logfile.txt, ZIP it and email to me at
development@z-a-recovery.com

so I can verify 0 is really correct value for your case.

I checked the log file, and unfortunately found that ZAR detects the parameters correctly. Something is most likely wrong with the actual data.

Sorry, but it did not work out.

Please email me your order reference number so I can arrange a refund.
