Lost a funeral movie on a scandisk

I use a video cam to record a funeral and when I tryed to download it to the computer it asked me if I wanted to format and without thinking I said yes
I did the data recovery and that gave me a bunch of single pictures but did not recover the movie can anyone help

What is the camera model?
What is the movie format, if you know that?
Did you try ZAR in simple volume recovery mode, as described in http://www.z-a-recovery.com/unformat-tutorial.htm ?
