Hi,

I like to put all my emergency recovery tools on a UBCD4Win bootable CD (based on BartPE) so I can work on my laptop in case something happens to it.

While I know I can simply copy the ZAR folder to it, what about the registration information?

Is it possible to transfer my registration information to the CD and how would I do that (I believe it is stored in the registry?).

Be well,

Figgie

I recall we had some trick specifically for this case, but it was never advertised.

Create an ASCII text file, named ZAR.KEY. You need to place it into the same directory where ZAR.EXE is. The file should contain a serial number on a first line, and an unlock code on a second line. Be advised that leading and trailing spaces are not allowed. Trailing blank lines are OK, but no blank lines between serial and unlock.

If you do everything correctly, ZAR will pick the key up when starting.

Thank you very much.

I will try it. This information was very helpful.
