Unlock key not working

In April 11, 2004 I bought Zero Assumption Recovery - Full Version and was sent my unlock key. Well today I had to reinstall ZAR as my HDD got formatted by mistake. When I go to enter the key it says enter Serial number and unlock code. Back when I bought it I was not given a serial key just an unlock code. How do I go about getting this to work so I can get back the files I lost?
