Dear Administrator,
I have an external harddisk of 80gb, i was trying to store some files some 3 years ago in my friend's computer, now i have been trying to find out how to unlock the encryption happened in the harddisk, i have my personal documents in the harddisk, i believe it was accidential compress and encrypt the file, so i decompressed, some of the files opened, but most photos and video files and doc, pdf are are still encrypted, i have no clue how to decrypt this, i have no contacts with my friend anymore, so no source to find out what software it was. i can see in the windows explorer, the files are green in color, when i tried to copy to other harddisk,it says encrypted files non transferable. I would appreciate if anyone could let me know how to decrypt this harddisk files. Iam not computer gig, but i can follow your words.
Regards,
Vasanth,Dublin.

If the files are green in color, this means they are encrypted by the NTFS built-in encryption. However, we do not know how to decrypt these without passwords.

You may want to try the evaluation version of this software - http://www.elcomsoft.com/aefsdr.html

However, I'm not quite sure it is possible to decrypt the files in your case.
