Olympus M+ xd Card Lost Everything

I took a picture accidentally and went to delete it before downloading my pictures of a wedding/vacation. The camera then said there were no pictures to view when there should have been a few hundred. I have tried numerous programs including ZAR and have run the programs on the xd card through a card reader and the camera itself. ZAR only finds one file....the accidental picture that I wanted to delete. Is there any possible chance of recovery of the pictures that I do really want? Please help!

If you try ZAR in image recovery mode ("Recover images from the digital camera memory card"), and it only finds one image, then there is nothing we can do - the rest of the images are just not there.
