Importing the recovered messages back to Thunderbird

Hi I'm a new user, purchased Zmeil today to recover some thunderbird messages I'd deleted in error. Have run Zmeil without error, but when I start Thunderbird, although I can see new mail folders in the folder's tree I can't see the recovered messages. If I open the original Thunderbird storage file with no extension in Notepad I can read the text so this proves the files are not empty. Help asap please!

1. What build number are you using (as indicated on the first screen),
2. if you try to recover to EML files, rather than to a UNIX mailbox, and then open these EML files, is there any content in them?

There was a similar issue but it is believed to be fixed quite a while ago.
