Analyzing GPT volume table - duration?
Hi,
Trying to recover data from a 2TB WD My Book. How long should the "Analyzing GPT volume table" stage take (been 1 hour)? The 1st stage took about 1 hour... Thanks!

Should be about ten seconds or less.
Anything longer suggests the drive is not readable. If you are using an USB connection, try direct SATA. If not, the drive is probably defective beyond software repair. It is theoretically possible that there is a bug causing an endless loop, but it is unlikely due to the way GPT table is organized.
