Hi there:
I have Windows 7 pro 64 bits in my PC. Yesterday I couldn't boot it. Apparently the boot disk was corrupted for an unknown reason. Using ZAR, I could recover all my files, but now I want to try to solve this problem without having to do a full install. I followed the instructions in the tutorial to recover NTFS backup boot sector, but the backup and the primary boot sectors are the same and seem to be in good state. Do you know any other possibility to recover that drive? I don't care if this is risky, since I already backed up all my files. Best regards Luis |

What is the error message on boot, if any?
If you connect the drive to a different machine as slave, can you read the data on the drive? If yes, make a backup as soon as possible, because the if system got damaged for an unknown reason, it is likely to get even more damaged for the same reason.
