I abandoned Outlook some time ago in favor of Thunderbird, but I saved Outlook's pst file for the day I discovered how to extract the messages it contained. Zmeil appears to be the ticket, however, Thunderbird's Import seems to require Outlook to be installed and set as the default email client in order to import (presumably from the pst).
If the above is correct, there must be another way to get the Zmeil extrated separate eml files into Thunderbird. Because Thunderbird's Inbox appears to be a simple text file, maybe a carefully selected copy and paste? Can you offer help or suggestions? Thanks. |

Try setting the output format to UNIX Mailbox. This is the Thunderbird format.
