Default Old guy - Needs data recovered

Hey - I am retired and have been using a computer for quite a few years. About a month ago, I had problem with my desktop unit and (like a stupid jerk) took it to someone who said he could fix the problem. He didn't fix the problem --- but he cleaned off both my hard drives and re-installed some software (not MY software). I brought the computer home and found out that he cleaned off my 2 hard drives and all my work that I had from my consulting business that I had after I retired.

Question - Is there software that could really recover all the data that was lost when this guy wiped everything off?

Thanks - Jim

Try our trial version
The download is at http://www.z-a-recovery.com/zarsetup.exe
The step-by-step guide on how to use the software is here

Although installing something after data was deleted reduces the likelyhood of success, you can still try it. Be sure to AVOID installing the software, or recovering the data, onto the drive you will recover data from. You need a separate drive/partition to work from. This holds for ANY data recovery software. AVOID WRITES to the drive you are recovering at all costs.

Thanks ... I will try that when I get some time. I assume it will take a few hours so I must wait to get that time window.

Thanks again!

Jim
