When will the tutorial be updated to reflect version 8.2 steps?

Not that much is changed between 8.0 and 8.2, so the same steps apply to the most current version (8.2 at this time). There are several new controls available in 8.2 but you typically do not need to touch these.
The update was planned along with an upcoming 8.3 release, which will feature some significant differences.

That should probably be written on top of each tutorial - will do that ASAP.
