Default Validation and save taking days

I've had the program running for about 6 days. Although it was slow it was running. I had saved about half of the data on my old hard drive when I lost power and the computer shut down. Do I have to start all over? Is it possible to proceed from the point where the data was saved previously? Can the validation and save process be sped up any?

Thanks

Default Re: Validation and save taking days

Try this:

First, download and install the latest version available at http://www.z-a-recovery.com/zar-83-rc1.exe

To disable validation,
  1. on the first screen click "Advanced Configuration".
  2. in there, switch to the "Validation" tab and
  3. clear the checkbox labeled "Enable background validation".
Note - the validation is cancelled automatically once you start copying. I.e. you can mark and command to copy the files regardless of the validation process.

Additionally, verify the drive is not in PIO mode - refer to this page, section III.
