Exclamation Problem recovery Canon EOS JPG File from Hitachi 4GB MicroDrive

Yesterday, after a seven hour model photo session, i estracted the CF Hitachi 4GB MicroDrive with 577 JPG files distributed into 7 directories, from mi Canon EOS 300D.
Inserted the MicroDrive in PC reader, the PC report the directory structure is damaged. I tried ZAR. First time in Images Recovery From Memory Card.
The program found almost 600 Files. Also the dimension apper to be right.
Zar was unable to show the preview. After copied the JPG on safe location, i cannot open the Image.
Using Recover from Simple Volume the program report a Severe Error: "UNABLE TO CONTINUE: Unsupported FileSystem Type. Unable to continue processing. program will now terminate. Not a bug - data is probably beyond repair, or something is misconfigured."

Can you help me ???

If useful i can send some file recovered. I will be really happy if you can see the model... )

Many thanks in advance for your collaboration

Log file from the run producing a "severe error" would be more useful than an image.

The problem is:
  1. As the volume size increases, trying to recover images tends to give less results mostly due to the fragmentation issues.
  2. With a small volumes, "simple volume" recovery cannot gather enough data to work with. However, I expect 500+ files and 5+ directories to be just enough for it to catch on.
What you should try (try both):

Option A.
  1. Start ZAR, click "Advanced Configuration".
  2. In "Image recovery" tab, set "End of file detection" to "None".
  3. Click OK to close configuration then retry "image recovery" mode.
Option B.
  1. Before this run, delete the log file, C:\Program files\ZAR\logfile.txt
  2. Run "simple volume recovery" as previously. It will fail the same way.
  3. Open the log file, and last part of it (about last 100 lines should be enough) here.
With the log file, I can try to figure out why "simple volume recovery" does not engage properly.

Are these really the last lines of the log? I'd expect it to end with an error message.

These first lines just show the processing started as usual. The last part should indicate what it was doing and what it found just before declaring data beyond reconstruction.

The best thing we came up with which may work, is that you try with an ancient version 7.3.1
  1. Download here - http://www.z-a-recovery.com/setup-7-3-1.exe
  2. Install and run.
  3. Select "Proceed" on a first screen.
  4. When prompted for a physical drive, select the one matching the capacity (about 4000MB), then click "Proceed".
  5. Most likely there will be an empty volumes list at the next stage. Regardless of what is listed, select "Manual", "There was only one volume", "OK".
  6. The rest should be automatic.

Hi Alexey !!!

I followed your instruction. Almost at the end of the procedure (96%) the program report the error you can see attached: Unable to autodetect volume parameters. Unable to continue in Simple Mode.

Tell me what i can do...

Many thanks in advance for your collaboration.
