Dear Alexy,
Hi, I purchased ZAR 8.5.23 for recovering my lost data through using Paragon Alignment Tool 2.0 Special Edition - Covermount . so i want to tell you the story and then ask you for helping me if possible. I have 3 physical HDD on my PC. First is western digital 250 GB which partitioned as drive C (86 GB) for windows and drive D (150 GB) for storage. Second is western digital 500 GB which partitioned as drive E (single partition) . Third is samsung 1 TB which partitioned as drive F (single partition). All of the above HDD is sata and the OS is win xp pro sp3. After I run Paragon Alignment Tool , it asked for reboot my PC then i accept and reboot it and after 5 hours working on my all 4 partitions, then again reboot my PC after that, log in into windows, then I open my computer I saw that drive C and D is OK and don't make any change, but drive E and F couldn't open by clicking on them and windows asked for formatting them I didnt format them. Then I loss 399 GB of data from drive E and 910 GB of data on drive F. After that I run PTDD partition table doctor VERSION 3.5 and try to REBUILD MBR AND RESTORE it just for my 500 GB HDD (drive E) not 1 TB, after that PTDD asked for reboot my PC then my PC reboot then before log in to windows chkdsk ask for scanning my 500 GB HDD (drive E) after 2 hours of working log in to windows then I open my 500 GB HDD in my computer about 250 GB of my data back and 149 GB of my data deleted and chkdsk make two directory and collect some file fragment that get back from its lost and find process . So I don't do the same for my 1 TB HDD (drive F) AND DO NOTHING FOR IT. now how can i fix this issue? meanwhile I contact to paragon technical support dept. then they reply me The full reply that paragon send is: "19/10/2010 16:27 (Smirnova Taisia) Clarify Request Dear Anderanik, Thank you for your request, I will gladly do my best to help. Could you please do the following: 1. Download the following file and Burn Recovery CD with it: http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/support/BR....11844_002.exe 2. Boot your computer from recovery CD and enter full scale mode of the program where you see Disk Map and your partitions. Then right-click on a partition delete partition. Then please go to Wizards - Undelete Partitions, choose thorough search and see it it will be able to find partition the way it has been before alignment. I appreciate your cooperation and look forward to hearing back from you. Paragon Alignment Tool works with partition frames by moving it to the correct so that sectors fit to cylinders on your hard disk drive. This should result in faster drive productivity. Moving frames of partition means interaction with file system. Bad sectors on the drive or file system errors may interrupt alignment process and this leads to data loss as file system structure is messed up. You will get the same if you will try to interrupt alignment process manually. That is why we do recommend to create a backup of your system before you start aligning the drive. I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but there is nothing more we can do at the moment to recover the data, that you could not get back with the recommended tools. Finally please help me, Meanwhile I purchased the full version of ZAR 8.5.23. Appreciate. Anderanik Saedi A victim of Paragon co,. |

Now,
The drive E, on which CHKDSK worked, is now most likely beyond repair. For a drive F: you should try the unformat procedure as described here http://www.z-a-recovery.com/unformat-tutorial.htm. Note that you will need an 1TB extra free space, possibly on the external (USB) drive.
