Default ZAR will not appear when loading

Hi everyone! Downloaded the trial and attempting to load it, nothing happens. I see two entries in the task manager, but nothing comes up on the screen when loading the program. Using a dual core Intel 3.4 GHz CPU, XP Pro SP2, 2 GB DDR2 667 RAM. Should I post my DXDiag results? Thank you in advance!

I was able to solve the problem by setting the program to run in compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME. Came up right away after that!
