Default Generic Multi Use USB doesn't come up as an option in Step 2

Hello,
Sorry if I missed this in another thread, but I am trying to follow the steps laid out in the demo and my Generic Multi Use USB device doesn't show up as an option like it does in the demo.
I am afraid to click on anything else in case I make things worse.
I am just learning my way around computers so I sure hope I can understand the answer :-)
Thanks in advance for your help,
Leslie

The Generic Multi Use USB Device I presume is the card reader?
If it is not, you need a dumb card reader. The dumber, the better.
If it is the card reader, make sure you plug it in and insert the card into it before starting ZAR. Also, it would be reasonable to wait a minute after you insert the card to allow things to "settle", i.e. system to complete whatever procedures are needed to recognize the reader and the card.
