Hello - I have a 2GB Lexar CF card that has two deleted Olympus Raw Format
images on it that I cannot recover. It also has 35 deleted TIFF images from last year that recover very well. The images were deleted one at a time, and no other images were saved on the card after the deletions. I have used image recovery settings mentioned in other forum posts, and I have tried simple volume recovery without success. Any suggestions? Thank you. Do you have one known-good ORF file in your archive somewhere? I need a sample - get an image you have already shot in ORF format and email it to me development@z-a-recovery.com (15 megabytes max; contents of the image does not really matter, but image should be valid).
IMPORTANT: DO NOT take the sample image onto the same damaged card. Either get the image from your archive, or get a different card.

Amended that part, please try http://www.z-a-recovery.com/zar-83-032.exe to see if it works better.
However, avoid using it for any other recoveries - some code it contains was not tested well enough.

Unqualified SUCCESS!
ZAR recovered not only photos that had been deleted, but photos that had gone through Olympus re-formatting. 1.91 GB recovered from a 2 GB card. Should I go back to release 8.3 until the .ORF changes are in a formal release? Thanks John |

The latest version I consider "for production use" is referenced on this forum in the announcement. As of today, that's build 30.
