You probably run it to recover images from your hard drive, rather than a camera. Restart and make sure you specify the correct device in "Step 3 - Select a physical device".

I'm trying to use a memory card reader but i don't see it has one of my choices?

  1. What brand/model of the card reader?
  2. Check if the card is inserted properly?
  3. Check the card reader is properly connected?
  4. If you try to access the card by usual means (i.e. Windows Explorer), is it readable? error messages, if any?

what the originating problem was with the card? why are you trying to recover it in first place?

I do not think I can suggest something except to try a different machine/reader.

choice #3 removable 1928 mb (my card is a 2GB)
