I am trying to recover pictures from a 512 BM SD card that has been formatted. It is connected to my PC via a USB 2.0 Card reader. The card is visible to ZAR 8.0 and so far the recovery process has taken over 5 hours. The bar showing current operation and progress is blank. Has ZAR locked up?
PLease advise. |

Most likely yes. I suggest you update to the most current version, http://www.z-a-recovery.com/zar84setup.exe to see if this resolves the problem.

I have downloaded the update as you suggested and tried running again. This time the process rand quickly showing to green dots on the upper left corner. Nothing in red. However a window appeared noting that there was no files to recover. The memory card was formatted. Is this the problem?
Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards, Irv |

If only the two green dots were shown, and no blue dots at all,
and the card was formatted in the camera, then there is nothing recoverable left on card. This is especially true for Canon cameras.
